When setting up a Kinetix fitness centre or facility there are a number
of things to be considered. When you have completed your market research,
secured your premises, identified your finances and decided upon the
fitness equipment that you wish to purchase there are still a few
things which need to be planned before opening the business.
 |
Ensure that there is adequate space for the fitness
equipment which you wish to install, bearing in mind that you
must allow space for equipment servicing, for people to easily
mount/dismount, and space for an instructor to stand alongside.
Although not essential, you may wish to provide showering facilities
as well. We recommend a minimum room size of 20 sq m (220 sqft)
for 4 kinetix chairs or 46 sq m (495 sq ft) for 10 Kinetix chairs. |
 |
Ensure that there is sufficient power supply to
run the equipment. |
 |
Decide how you are going to keep customer records
accurate and up-to-date. These records should include a disclaimer
signed by the customer stating that they are fit to use the
equipment. This database can be used for future mailings to
further promote your business. |
 |
Marketing of the business prior to opening. Your
equipment supplier should be able to advise on this matter. |
 |
Ensure that all your staff receive training on
the fitness equipment, and on the general health and safety
issues relating to the use of the equipment. |
